Old Western Train Station

A weathered timber station shelter stands beside the railway line, its board walls, sloping roof and bracing beams rendered in warm wood tones. Four travellers occupy the platform: a man with a satchel striding along the tracks, a woman in a brown dress, a man in a blue coat and a bearded man resting on the bench. Weeds creep between the boards and rails, while dimension lines and a compass rose give the burnt-edged parchment page the feel of an old construction plan. Painted in muted browns and slate blues, this piece reflects my work as UmairArts, celebrating heritage structures in a minimalist palette.
