Old Australian Tram

Tram number 835 travels past old sandstone and brick buildings draped in greenery, its overhead wire leading the eye down a fading streetscape. Period figures bring the scene to life: a bearded man in a wide-brimmed hat, a lady with a parasol, a uniformed man in a double-breasted coat, and a lone figure in the distance. Drafting-style dimension lines and a compass rose frame the scene on aged, burnt-edged parchment. Painted mainly in warm sepia, with touches of blue and green, it reflects my ongoing work as UmairArts, capturing Australian heritage streetscapes in a minimalist palette.
